Merck Announces Voluntary Recall of Vaccines PEDVAXHIB and COMVAX 

Recently Merck & Co., Inc. announced that the Company is issuing a voluntary recall of 11 lots of its Haemophilus Influenzae type B vaccine, PEDVAXHIB Vaccine, and two lots of its combination Haemophilus Influenzae type B/hepatitis B vaccine, COMVAX Conjugate.

Pool and Spa Safety Bill Passes Senate and House 

The Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act of 2007, which would help prevent entrapment injuries and deaths and drownings in swimming pools and spas - a leading killer of children under the age of 14 - was approved by the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Safety Alert: Simplicity Baby Sleepers Recalled 

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using convertible "close-sleeper/bed-side sleeper" bassinets manufactured by Simplicity, Inc., of Reading, Pa. The bassinets have been involved in the strangulation deaths of two infants.
