Mettler comes to Le Bonheur and University of Tennessee Health Science Center from Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

Researchers at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital are asking for community input on whether they should participate in a study that will compare two resuscitation treatments, (whole blood versus traditional blood component therapy, and tranexamic acid versus no tranexamic acid). The goal is to compare which strategies can improve survival.

It is understood that fireworks pose inherent dangers, but special care should be taken to protect our families’ youngest members. In a 2023 special study performed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, minors under 15 years of age accounted for thirty-one percent of estimated firework-related injuries in the United States.

The Healthy Behaviors Virtual Class will help parents and children establish a healthy relationship with their bodies and foods. Learn more about how to make feeding decisions based on honoring hunger cues that provide nutrition for growth, development and well-being. This course will incorporate principles of intuitive eating with the intention of promoting confidence when approaching meal time.

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital’s Inaugural School Nurse Conference is an opportunity for school nurses to receive additional training to help serve their students. This conference is intended to provide current education and resources to those providing health services in a school setting. It will offer formal Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) hours to school nurses as they participate in this day-long training.
