Physical therapy

Physical therapy focuses on either achieving or returning the child to the highest level of motor functioning possible.

Our physical therapists address:

  • muscle tone
  • movement
  • balance
  • endurance
  • ability to ambulate
  • ability to plan motor movements
  • strength and coordination
  • pain
  • flexibility
  • need for leg bracing
  • positioning and equipment needs (including bed, wheelchair, seating system, etc)

Referral

All outpatient physical therapy services require a referral from the primary care physician or pediatrician.
