Pediatricians are the cornerstone of a healthy family. At Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, we know how important it is for children to be treated by physicians who specialize in pediatric care. We partner with general pediatricians across the region to offer comprehensive medical treatment for children. Pediatricians provide preventive care and treatment for acute illnesses, to ongoing treatment of chronic conditions. They have extensive clinical knowledge of children and their diseases and disorders.
Pediatricians work closely with our pediatric specialists at Le Bonheur to deliver the best child–and family–centered medical treatment in the region.

Why a Pediatrician Is The Best Person To Treat Your Child
Pediatricians have three additional years of training specifically with children, in addition to their medical training. They treat newborns, children and adolescents. Because pediatricians are the experts on children and their diseases, they are better able to spot irregularities in growth and development than other types of medical practitioners.
UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists (ULPS)
UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists is a partnership between the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Our goal is to provide high-quality care for children ages newborn to 17 years of age. Prevention and wellness are our top priorities.
The General Pediatric Clinic is a resident training clinic. A resident is a medical doctor who is receiving further training to become a pediatrician.
Your child will be seen first by a resident physician. The resident will then discuss your child's medical history with a supervising pediatrician. Both will come back together to see and discuss the care of your child.

Memphis Children's Clinic
Memphis Children’s Clinic has officially joined the Le Bonheur Pediatrics family. This means even more coordinated care for your child while keeping the same trusted doctors and staff you know and love.
Our six clinics — Bartlett, Germantown, Whitehaven, Hickory Hill, Southaven and Olive Branch — with the same Memphis Children’s Clinic doctors and staff, will continue serving families in our communities. This partnership allows us to offer better-coordinated care and ensure your child has greater access to the services they need, when and where they need them.
We will continue to update you on any further changes as we continue this transition.
