The University of Tennessee Health Science Center KR0-Club provides early career investigators and junior faculty with information and guidance for preparing and submitting applications for NIH Research Career Development Grants (K awards) and Research Project Grants (R01 awards).
K-R0 Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at noon and is open to all investigators at UTHSC, as well as junior investigators from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the University of Memphis. Senior investigators are welcome to attend to contribute to the discussion and provide perspective.
K-R0 Club covers topics such as specific aims, mentors, effective communication and research strategy. These topics are covered in a variety of manners, including discussion groups, interactive seminars and workshops. You can schedule a meeting with the Director of Grant Administration and Contract Development and the Scientific Editor to set deadlines and discuss the submission process.
