The Le Bonheur On the Move (LOM) mobile medical unit follows an enhanced medical home model, serving as the connection to primary care providers for communities with limited access to medical support. Le Bonheur on the Move travels to schools and community sites in Memphis and West Tennessee to provide affordable, accessible health care services for children.
Le Bonheur on the Move provides:
- comprehensive well-child examinations
- acute care
- sports physicals
- developmental/behavioral assessments
- medical/social service referrals.
Each year, through a partnership with Children’s Health Fund, LOM cares for more than 2,000 patients and provides transportation services to health care. The program also helps provide transportation when children are referred to see specialists at Le Bonheur in Memphis and Jackson, Tenn.
