Parent Outreach serves children and parents in Shelby County who are not eligible for Le Bonheur’s other home-visitation programs, Nurse-Family Partnership and Healthy Families, but are still at risk for child abuse. The program is funded by a Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) grant from the state of Tennessee.
Using the Nurturing Skills for Families (NSF) curriculum, Parent Outreach home visitors work with pregnant or parenting families and children ages 0-5. The NSF curriculum has 80 lessons to choose from so that the home visitor can create a customized educational plan for the families.
